i saw almost all of the cabinet ministers in person!!

went to a parliamentary sitting on friday to listen to part of the annual budget debate..

although i don't really know anyone who went with me (7 of us in total), it was a really fruitful trip.the guide was so animated and interactive and the students from some sec school were really knowledgeable about politics..*guilty* ohh..and the whole proceeding of passing the bill is really troublesome with all the first, second and third readings.

the whole conference room is really really high tech; they have electronic voting on the side of the MPs' seats, the seats have headsets attached so that we can have direct translation of the 4 official languages.cool right?

it's really weird to see them talking so normally in front of the public instead of giving speeches @.@ and everyone including the ministers have to bow to the Speaker who assumes the highest post in a parliamentary sitting when they come in and also when they leave O.O

and i saw ms pharm there too..she's now teaching geog at clementi town and apparently, she's uni classmates with the NE teacher-in-charge who's also a geog teacher X) it's a small world afterall..

wahh..now NE is not slack at all already lahh X( haha..but the activities they organised are quite interesting...feel like taking part in the Cultural Mapping this year..i wanna be a guide for once(:

on a completely different note, i kind of know what i want to do in uni already..but the problem is getting a scholarship for my studies is very daunting especially with my sucky science results which don't really seem to be improving.. JIAYOU XINLIANG!

i'm starting to adore fridays and weekends!! they give me the time to take a breath and just simply enjoy the day..no wonder there's this abbrievation TGIF!! wahaha..good invention ehh! :D

hoho hasn't finalised the syf choice piece..ohmy..i have lots of things to improve on my playing and techniques!! and it is only today that i realised that i have a weird sticking when i play on the timpani esp when i roll; my left hand uses french grip while my right hand uses german grip!! ohman!! no wonder my roll always sound so 'biased'.LOL.now, i have to get used to using german grip since wong (not shuyi) commented that my left hand's too weak to roll using the french grip. @.@ i guess i 'inherited' the french grip when i was in CO in primary school.. XP i love to play both the tim parts for Heart and Voice and Celebrations!! but i think Celebrations need to use 5 tim and im trying not to cos i don't want to take the risk of not seeing the 5th tim during syf.. not sure if syf provides 4 or 5 tim..and now, the brasses are so much stronger than the woodwinds cos of the influx of trombone and trumpet players.

it's a pity ian couldn't be with us..sigh..hoho wants him in nj band lorhh..4 more juniors in perc now..there's sam from cgs, guo3 dong4 from cat high and tatty(?) bear from maris(: haha..funny names gel gave them XD ohh..and cullen (name given by xiangyin) plays really well and very touching for his Heart and Voice part! omg..no wonder he DSA-ed in. jiayou NJCSB.im kinda dreading EXCO NIGHT during the march hols band camp..LOL..perc will know why
