this marks the end of the first week of school.
oh wells..i'm glad it ended because im starting to feel the pressure/stress of being a Senior High 2 student!!
things in class are more or less going back to normality.
and all my tutorials including GP are in the TC block! yoohoo!
TC blocks have the most spacious and well-ventilated classrooms! :D
a surprise came when a letter of acceptance for MOE-UCLES H3 ECONS was given to me.
i have long forgotten about it after i got my really sucky promo results which couldn't get me into SMU Game Theory Course.and now, the opportunity arises and i'm in a dilemma.
i've missed one whole term of lecture and assignment on theme 1: Study of Economics. the worst thing is that there'll be no repeat of lecture and there's a test on Study of Economics on this coming monday. ZOMG!!!! and so here i am, printing lecture notes from school portal and copying from lecture slides and reading the compulsory readings on the theme.
i'm really interested in the Prisoners' dilemma theory and the Nash Equilibrium which are in theme 2. and there's theme 3: Regional and International Trade!! double yay!!
i guess i've more or less decided to take up this challenge.i want to spend my jc life fruitfully and do things that i'm passionate about. i guess im more interested in Social Sciences than going to the Medicine faculty now.
i just hope that i can pull through all the discussions during tutorials and the cheem cheem assignments every month (which i heard from sijia that it's like writing a Written Report--> 3000words).
everyone's been complaining about their timetable and im not the only one. i have 4 tutorials and 2 lectures on Mondays with only a half-hour break?!?! tuesdays, wednesdays, thursdays and fridays are quite slack but i only end classes earliest 3pm!! and the most pathetic thing is that there's only one ECONS lecture per week which is super duper insufficient :(
on a lighter note, i think SH2s get more experienced and senior teachers to teach us and we even have HODs taking our lectures(: i guess the nj population's living standards also have to be dependent on both the quality aspects (teaching experiences) as well as the quantity aspects (the amount of lecture time per week).
im starting to like chem more because i can actually understand what ms sim's talking about and she said 'GOOD' for my work lehh!! LOL.i never heard her praise my work before!!
and biology is moving away from 'research' chapters and going towards 'doctors' chapters!! (if you actually know what im talking about)
but math, im still quite weak at P&C and probability =S
guess what, i just realise that math tutorials now not only consist of Basic Mastery Questions (BMQs), Tutorial Questions and Assignment Questions. The tutorial of one math chapter has BMQs, Practice Questions, Further Practice Questions and Higher Order Thinking Questions.
hmm..i have to increase my speed of completing homework!! im going to aim to finish all my assignments which are due the following week on friday and spend the weekend revising and reading up on up-coming chapters bahh!!
Gambatte xinliang!!
