see!! that's what mathematicians say about having faith in God!! im truly amazed by this (: and i've this exact experience during this Promos..i've not shared this with anyone yet...and so..this shall be an exclusive coverage of what amazing things God has done for me during the past one month =D
i don't know how to put it into words.i seriously don't know. it's like you pray fervently for God to bring peace and calmness in you and watch over you when you're preparing for exams or even doing the papers..and you know what...it actually does a great deal of help..i have assured Him that i have done my best in preparing for exams and have complete faith in Him and let Him do His work.. it's miraculous!! simply marvelous! i had the calmness and the faith when i did my GP, my ECONS, my CHEMISTRY, my MATH and my BIOLOGY. i would think that the satisfaction that comes out from these papers is simply far more than the grades.
thank You, Lord, for doing all these for me, an ordinary me and a child of Yours.

overall, i think that it's much more manageable than Common Test..
causes??
- i was too nervous and too lost during my first major JC exam...
- i have much more faith in God this time round..
- i have sufficient preparation time prior to all the papers..
- i had been so disappointed with myself and doubted my revision method (strategy?) that i had this motivation to do well for promos.
- i went to consult my teachers (esp chem and bio).
- my study time with partner shuning was well-spent and we completed quite a lot of topics together. [mainly because we take the same subjects]
appreciation and commendation time!!

Shuning!! i don't think you'll get to read this but anyway, i really have to thank you for studying with me for the past one month..we've tried studying in Taman Jurong Macs, in JE library, in school library (only until 6pm), in school canteen (from 6pm onwards)!! you've been a really great study partner and i get to know you more!! thanks for staying in school with me until so late every day..thanks for answering all my questions patiently. thanks for everything!! :D
Mrs Keng!! i really have to thank her for re-igniting the passion for Biology in me again...after the traumatic common test experience..i can tell that she still has a lot of faith in the US citizens and holds extended bio consolidations for us..i must say that these consolidations and timed essays and structured questions really did help me to answer all my doubts and also revise my semester 1 topics..i really admire her patience and enthusiasm for biology and teaching.. this is one good teacher!! thumbs up!! btw, she's not old at all though she's called 'MRS' =)
ersy!! thanks buddy for everything you've done for me!! thanks for your encouraging and funny comments!! i realised that we've been much closer than we were in secondary school!! we shall have some celebrations at some pool place as our post-promos a.k.a pre-band activities!! *winks* >.<
elaine!! doraemon bagpack!! thanks for sitting through with me in the library and trying to figure out the acid-base equlibrium problem!! it actually came out as the last question but luckily, the question didn't ask us to proof why do we need to times 2 or 1/2 to find the volume of max buffering capacity...phew.. =P thanks for your really lovely jiAAAAAyos!! heyy prawn!! you're always on my appreciation and commendation list!! =D anyway, im really glad to tell you that i have successfully put dump all my burden with God and not take everything into my own hand..He's really great!! He'll do the same for you too!! and remember, faith and action on our part makes Him want to make miracles for us!! ^-^
yinwai!! thanks for all the pop quizzes of bio definitions!! it did help me memorise the definition of lac operon but i still cannot string them together in one complete sentence =P you've really pushed me on when i felt so 'dead' for my bio..you shall get an ice-cream treat from me if i get at least a 'B' for bio!! if you see this, please acknowledge otherwise my promise won't count..lol
post-promos activities!!
- exercise to shed off the extra weight put on during promos.. (i drank quite a number of bubble teas in school and snacked on a couple packets of potato chips) wanqing is joining in the craze too and maybe jo-lin too!! swimming is up on the top of the list!!
- im going to start cross-stitching again!! going to look for nice designs to cross-stitch!!
- need to do mr ho's teachers' day card..it's due long time ago..oh man..
- write thank-you cards??
- catch up on reading
- try to watch all the previous episodes of THE HUMAN SPIRIT online!!
i think that's all for now.. quite a lot of things huh..especially the exercise one!! i guess i'll need as much motivation as i've required for promos//
a whole lot of us [wanqing, shermain, shuning, sijia, jo-lin, audrey, jiawen, peixuan, jean and me] went town after our bio paper and SPA review...and we watched THE CLOSING RING..wanqing suggested to watch it..lol..and she keeps promoting it as a romance comedy..it really turned out to be a comedy if you count those 'in-flight' entertainment and hilarious comments given by mainly shermain. the music was really really gorgeous and the war scenes in 1941 were well set-up..the plot was nice too except for some really sexual and violent scenes..i didn't dare to watch though..i guess i'll stick to PG-rated films in the future.. =P nevertheless, it was really a wonderful experience to be able to laugh-out-loud and bond with your classmates!!
side-note: long-john silver sells quite delicious chicken and potato salads with thousand-island sauce..maybe next time i'll try some of jo-lin's potato salads!! whoa..im going crazy over potatoes again!!
the major exams for year ones are officially over (if you don't count Project Work that is). rejoice!!
