passion of life

i have just attended a national day dinner at Bukit Timah Community Centre..my sister and i weren't really interested to go because we know that such functions are never entertaining at all and a total waste of time

...BUT...

my dad was going to receive his long-term service award....
actually, i can sense that he really wants us to go watch him receive the award because it's so rare to provide 30 years of service to the community work..and so i persuaded my sis to go with me to give moral support to my dad...

okay.that's not the main point.lol.

my dad then went to pick up uncle michael and his wife. uncle michael had a stroke which has caused his right arm and left leg to be less mobile...his wife is really the perfect wife that any man could dream of. i don't mean physical beauty. they are already in their 60s or 70s and have grown-up children. what i mean is that he and his wife are so loving!! they help each other out and are always there for each other..due to his mild disability, his wife will always help him move around by holding his arm and supporting him.

i believe this is the type of love that everyone is looking for in their marriage and potential partners. it is really heartwarming to see aged couples to be so loving..A healthy marriage requires mutual respect, genuine commitment, effective communication, quality and quantity time and effort.

i went to google for the content of a formal marriage oath..quite interesting..hear you go!!
